Motion analysis device developer dorsaVi (ASX:DVL) has laid out plans to enhance its Run Module product with artificial intelligence (AI)-based video tracking.
The company says it is currently finalising enhancements to its recently released Run Module, with an AI-based function in design to create a comprehensive running analysis solution.
DorsaVi says this newly enhanced module will offer the company’s customers a superior value proposition and will provide features that will underpin further growth in sales and recurring revenues.
“Leveraging our proprietary AI running algorithms with video tracking capabilities enables us to capture meaningful real-time data and provide deep insights”
dorsaVi reports this newly enhanced module is scheduled for release in September 2023.
The company notes this product forms a key part of its broader product and solutions portfolio, addressing a ‘significant’ unmet need from athletes, coaches, and physical therapists to analyse live running motion data and receive insights in real-time.
DorsaVi adds that the use of AI within its technology increases the product’s functionality, allowing its best selling product, ViMove+, to benefit a broader patient group and expand its market opportunity.
With the newly enhanced product scheduled for release in September, dorsaVi announces final testing is currently underway.
Speaking on the enhancements, dorsaVi Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Andrew Ronchi says: “We are thrilled to be leading the way in the groundbreaking era of AI.
Combining our sensor technology with video tracking capabilities will enhance our Run Module, which is unmatched in the market today, and continue to provide the precise data that athletes, coaches, and therapists have been seeking.
Leveraging our proprietary AI running algorithms with video tracking capabilities enables us to capture meaningful real-time data and provide deep insights. With the introduction of our new suite of AI-powered modules, we offer customers an improved value proposition, driving sales growth and recurring revenue.”
dorsaVi is an innovative developer of motion analysis device technologies for use in clinical applications, elite sports, and occupational health and safety.
The company believes its wearable sensor technology enables many aspects of detailed human movement and position to be accurately captured, quantified, and assessed outside a biomechanics lab, in both real-time and real situations for up to 24 hours.
