NRW Holding’s (ASX:NWH) wholly owned subsidiary Golding Contractors has executed a $113 million contract with the Toowoomba Regional Council for the 2022 Flood Recovery Project in Queensland, Australia.
The $1.13 billion market capitalisation company says the works include the permanent reconstruction of existing council assets that were damaged in the February 2022 flood event.
Works will be conducted on more than 2,500 sites, covering 6,500km-square and include sealed and unsealed pavement reconstruction, culvert replacement, general earthworks, formation and shoulder grading of rural roads, rock protection and drainage desilting together with landslip remediation works.
NRW says mobilisation is expected to begin in August 2023, with a completed date of October 2024.
Commenting on the project, Golding Contractors Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Geoff Caton says: “We are excited to be given the opportunity to deliver this project for Toowoomba Regional Council, using our extensive experience in delivering flood recovery works in regional and remote areas.”
